Our County is mired in economic stagnation. We have a weak housing market with almost 1000 homes for sale. As soon as our children graduate from school they must leave the area in order to find a job that pays a wage high enough to support a family. Jobs in this area are more often than not part-time, just above minimum wage scale and without benefits.
We also have ineffective County leadership that is more reactive than proactive. We do not have a strong & positive vision for our future and no plan to get to an ultimate goal. We wander aimlessly from fiscal year to fiscal year without making any gains on economic prosperity. We need to set a direct course for our future and I think that I can be the compass that keeps us on the straight path and moving forward. We need new leadership that can look far ahead and establish a goal of long-term economic prosperity and I have the determination to stay focused on that objective until we reach it. We need leaders who will make hard decisions that are necessary for progress rather than making those that are merely politically expedient.
I believe that I am such a person and that I can help the County to move forward. I hope you will examine my credentials and make a decision to vote for me and vote for your own future in the upcoming election. Together we can get it done!
